Fulfill your course with joy, for we take nothing to the grave with us, but a good or evil conscience. And, although the sky clear after this storm, yet clouds will engender another.
In the arena
You're going to die. And when you do, you take nothing with you except your conscience. What really matters?
Paul told Timothy to finish his race with joy (2 Timothy 4:7). You finish well by running toward the right things now, not by sorting it out later. Later is not promised. So find something to give away today, whether your time or another resource. Build something with your hands for someone who needs it. Fix that neighbor's fence you've been walking past. Cook a meal for the widow down the street. The grave strips you of everything except what you've given away. So give something away today.
